About Me

Hi, I’m Jake, a Graphic Designer with over 10 years of professional and freelance experience creating impactful visuals for brands, events, and businesses. My design career began with a foundation in studio art, later evolving into a passion for digital design influenced by counter culture, music, and bold, expressive visual storytelling.

Over the years, I’ve worked across multiple industries, from screen printing and print production to promotional design and digital branding. I specialize in logo design, apparel design, event branding, and marketing collateral that connect with audiences in meaningful, memorable ways. My work has included long-standing collaborations with Festive ICT—designing the branding for Wichita Taco Fest and Shop & Grub—as well as creative projects for Wichita Brewing Company, Morris Laing Law Firm, and The Scrubbie. One of my favorite projects includes the “Hop Hammer” craft beer label, part of Wichita Brewing Company’s Hop Mystique series, blending illustration and storytelling into a standout product design.

In addition to client work, I run Always Outside, LLC, a creative studio and apparel brand that reflects my design philosophy—original, culture-driven, and built to stand apart from the ordinary. Through Always Outside Performance Goods, I design and produce unique clothing and accessories, with a current focus on Kansas City football-inspired apparel that combines originality with a fresh, independent look.
